V4.5-ALL

The Magician 29 departments are symbolized by IHVH, Jehovah: mental, emotional, etheric, and physical. The TABLE is called the “FIELD OF ATTENTION.” The FOUR IMPLEMENTS upon the TABLE symbolize a great many things, but among them are these four aspects of IHVH. The FOUR IMPLEMENTS on the TABLE also represent the four essentials to life which are LIGHT, WATER, AIR, AND FOOD. (1) The WAND stands for LIGHT. (2) The SWORD stands for AIR. (3) The CUP stands for WATER. (4) The PENTACLE stands for FOOD. Why does the SWORD stand for AIR? Because AIR cuts without resistance. They also represent the FOUR ANCIENT ELEMENTS which are not literally elements, but the elements used figuratively (FIRE, WATER, AIR and EARTH). They have all these meanings, but the meaning most pertinent to magical creation is the four stages of an Idea on its way down through the physical plane as described in the above four. The name IHVH, which symbolizes these four, is very clumsily printed on his arm. His uplifted arm usually bears the letters IHVH. He is bringing down from the Abstract Plane the WHITE LIGHT in order to make it a concrete thing on the physical plane. You will note that all these implements are YELLOW except the SWORD which is BLUE. YELLOW IS THE COLOR OF THE SELF-CONSCIOUS. BLUE IS THE COLOR OF THE SUBCONSCIOUS. If your creation is external you bring your creation down by the forces of nature, which is the cosmic subconscious. The cosmic subconscious is the SWORD which carves it out. The forces of nature constitute the SWORD which carves out your ABSTRACT IDEAS which become concrete and are diverted into the physical plane. If your creation is to be internal and has to do with your personality, your personal subconscious is the SWORD which carves it out for you. EVERYTHING THAT IS DONE IN YOUR BODY IS DONE BY YOUR SUBCONSCIOUS AT THE INSTIGATION OF THE CONSCIOUS. The instigation of the conscious is the picture which you make in your mind, particularly every emotional picture attended with emotion.
