[Verse] I traced the night Followed its glow Through crowded faces Faces I don't know A sea of smiles A tide of frowns Searching for love in this endless town [Prechorus] The stars winked down They knew my plea A whisper soft "Just wait and see" [Chorus] Wishing on a star Yeah It led me here Through the faces Through the years Wishing on a star Love's burning flame Found you through the faces Calling your name [Verse 2] Shadows danced The streets hummed low Echoes of dreams in the winds that blow I saw your eyes They caught my breath In a world of faces You’re life from death [Bridge] Stars above They played their part Threading fate through this restless heart Through the faces Through the haze Your love’s the spark that lights my days [Chorus] Wishing on a star Yeah It led me here Through the faces Through the years Wishing on a star Love’s burning flame Found you through the faces Calling your name
