They taught you fear was holy… But Love never needed terror. Listen… They said “Fear God,” like fear makes you clean, Like shaking brings you closer to the unseen. They said “Bow low, don’t question the throne,” Like truth feels threatened when it’s known. They taught you dread dressed up as respect, Called it wisdom, called it correct. But fear don’t open heaven’s door— Fear just keeps you small on the floor. Perfect Love casts out fear… So tell me who taught you fear? They gave you the fear of God… But God never gave you fear. They gave you the fear of God… But Love was always near. If God is Love, what you afraid of? If God is Light, why hide in shade? They gave you the fear of God… But God gave you His name. They said trembling is reverence, Said silence means obedience. They said don’t look too close inside, Just wait for heaven when you die. But Life don’t grow in frightened hearts, Truth don’t bloom where terror starts. They confused awe with being scared, Turned sacred wonder into prayer. Fear makes servants. Love makes sons. Fear builds distance. Love becomes one. [Verse 3 – rising clarity] They said God watches every mistake, Like Heaven got cameras on your shame. But Love don’t stalk, Love don’t spy, Love don’t wait for you to try. They trained you to fear the Judge, But forgot to teach you God is the Hug. Forgot to tell you the whole design: You were always already divine. They gave you the fear of God… But God never gave you fear. They gave you the fear of God… But Love was always near. If God is Love, what you afraid of? If God is Light, why hide in shade? They gave you the fear of God… But God gave you His name. Love casts out fear. Every time. Remember who you are.
