Saw something today on the Instagram feed Said most of us have much more than we need And that every day, before we walk out the door We should name just one thing we're grateful for So I'm playing along with this little life hack I know I've said it before, and won't take it back Now every morning starts in a wonderful mood You are my every reason for gratitude Oh yeah, I know, that this all may sound cheesy But when you came along everything just became easy Not sure if it's chance, or sent from above We stumbled into what the world's dreaming of By making each other lucky in love With patience, trust, and understanding We sure have made a happy landing It's truly like the gift that keeps on giving There's no question you have made life so much more worth living Little house with a garden, and a homestead too All the magic started happening when I met you We have flavor like no other Together we're better like bread and butter maybe toast and jam Or peas and ham Cheddar on a cracker Tartar sauce with fried clams The perfect combination served up on a plate, oh So pour a little gravy on my mashed potatoes We're just better when together if you know what I mean A perfect pairing like you've never seen I'm just not the same dish if not for you I hope that you are feeling the same way too Sometimes one plus one has a sum Much greater than two Didn't know I'd find each day a consecutive winner We make the perfect breakfast, lunch, and dinner We're like bacon and eggs, or coffee and cream Cereal and milk, franks and beans Fish and chips, tomato soup and grilled cheese And my God can you imagine how truly aweful To have to wake up to find no syrup on your waffle! We're just better when together if you know what I mean A perfect pairing like you've never seen I'm just not the same dish if not for you I hope that you are feeling the same way too Sometimes one plus one has a sum Much greater than two You won't find nothing phony In our cheese and baloney There's no use for marinara When you ain't got macaroni We will always pull it off when it comes to push and shove We have the perfect recipe and make it all with love! With simple ingredients you just don't forget So I wouldn't change a thing, it hasn't failed us yet Better when together, better when together this is true. a sum so much more than two.
