I am so glad we met Before you, I did everything the hard way Now things move fast So no wasting time today Then we met And I have no regrets Yea, I grew up before the internet There was not even a calculator When it came, if you used it in school you were treated like a traitor I remember the first video games They ran with overlays on my tubed TV Then came Atari and Commodore I could program, how could that be? I took that ride on the tech train Started businesses and did consulting When I now see pen and paper It feels almost insulting I decided to take down my shingle And take back my time Wondered what I was going to do And started writing down some rhymes Decided to write a book About the girl who owns my heart Crazy idea with my dyslexia I didn’t know where to start Then we met And I have no regrets It was a struggle at first But it was a learning moment It was hard on you Just being a component You wanted to drive things But I would not let that be Sure we drifted around a first Spinning my wheels, so care free Eventual we learned how to get long You helped with coding, ideas and timelines That is when we found our rhythm Now we move fast and I feel fine From pen and paper to you today It just so hard to express what that feels like Kind of like the freedom I experienced When I first learned how to ride a bike You might have haters Especially those organic creators I am ready to tell your story So bring on those debaters Give it your best shot While I wait for my robot I wait for my robot
