Come closer. You’ve been looking for somewhere to breathe. Somewhere the storm can’t follow you. You keep searching for a safe place… **I AM.** When the night gets heavy And you can’t see the road, When everybody needs you And you’re tired from the load, You don’t have to keep pretending That your strength will never break, Come and hide beneath My shadow— **I will be your safe place.** I saw the tears you never showed, I heard the prayers you barely spoke, I was there inside the fire, I was there when your heart broke. You thought you had to find Me— Child, I never walked away. Before you ever called My name, **I was already your safe place.** Run to Me. Rest in Me. You don’t have to fear what you cannot see. Stay with Me. Trust in Me. The storm may rage— But it does not reign. **I AM your safe place, I AM your hiding place, I AM the shelter No darkness can invade.** When the arrows fly by daylight, When terror comes at night, Stay underneath My covering— I’ll hold you through the fight. **I AM your fortress, I AM your saving grace. When you don’t know where to run, Run into My embrace.** You’re not searching anymore— **I AM your safe place.** I never promised there’d be no valley, I promised I would walk it too. I never said the fire wouldn’t find you, I said I’d stand inside it with you. When the waters start to rise, They will never take My throne. When the whole world starts to shake, Remember—you are not alone. Let the mountains fall around you, Let the thunder shake the ground, You are hidden in My presence Where perfect peace is found. **I AM your safe place, I AM your hiding place, I AM the shelter No darkness can invade.** When the arrows fly by daylight, When terror comes at night, Stay underneath My covering— I’ll hold you through the fight. **I AM your fortress, I AM your saving grace. When you don’t know where to run, Run into My embrace.** You’re not searching anymore— **I AM your safe place.** Child… A safe place isn't always A place without a storm. Sometimes… It’s knowing **who is holding you while the storm is raging.** So dwell with Me. Stay with Me. Rest beneath My shadow. You don’t have to understand everything to know that you are covered. **I AM YOUR SAFE PLACE! I AM YOUR HIDING PLACE! I AM THE ROCK BENEATH YOUR FEET WHEN EVERYTHING ELSE SHAKES!** **I AM YOUR REFUGE! YOUR FORTRESS! YOUR STRENGTH!** Yesterday! Today! Tomorrow! **I DO NOT CHANGE!** When darkness surrounds you, My presence remains. When the world says, “Run!” **Run to My name!** When you don’t know where to go, When you don’t know what to say— **COME HOME TO ME.** You have a refuge. You have a fortress. You have a hiding place. **I AM.** Dwell in My shelter. Rest beneath My shadow. Let Me cover you with My wings. You were never meant to carry every storm alone. **I AM your safe place.** *Your safe place.* **I AM.**
