'DONUTS' From treats to car seats, Donuts was our favorite.... Saturday morning finally came around, We'd open the pasture gate But we wasn't going to town.... We skip breakfast Cause we slept in the barn, We had outgrown the sugar covered ones.... It was now our time to learn how to drive, As we were never so glad to be alive.... Grandpa would push us off with the tractor that he left running, Cause if the pick~up got stuck or ran out of gas The tractor was coming.... The pastures were full of obstacles Even the rabbits were terrorized, We'd chase 'em in circles Till they saw doubles through their eyes.... We'd jump stumps and float the creek, And we'd get another gear If it started to leak.... Nothing was safe Inside those gates As it seemed time stood still, And we were 'Masters of the Pastures' With every turn of the wheel..
