SKELEDIRGE — “TORCH SONG” [Intro — Soft, haunting] Close your eyes… Don’t be afraid. Candles are glowing, Marigolds sway. From ashes and flame, I came from below… Fire in my chest, And a spirit that glows. [Verse 1] Skeledirge, Fire Ghost, Walking where the dead rest, Calaveras painted, flowers on the steps. Marigold petals lead into the night, Candles flicker softly in the moonlight. I don’t bring fear, I bring you peace, Let the rhythm of my voice Make your worries cease. The little fire spirit dancing on my head, Changes with the feeling of every word I said. When the melody is gentle, It becomes a little dove, When the sorrow starts to rise, It curls up mourning lost love. When the beat gets brighter, Watch that little flame smile— Every shape it takes Tells a different story for a while. [Pre-Hook] Breathe in slow… Let the tension go… Hear the ancient rhythm Moving through your soul. [Hook] Listen to my song, gonna set the mood, Soothe your soul, keep going with it. Canta conmigo, no tengas miedo, Baila con las almas bajo el cielo. Marigolds glow while the candles burn, Día de Muertos, let the memories return. Calaveras, corazones, bajo la luna, My Torch Song burns while the night becomes one. [Verse 2] Torch Song—hear the melody rise, Fire in the rhythm, reflection in my eyes. Not just a flame, it’s a voice from the past, A song for the ones whose memories last. My spirit starts changing when the tempo gets low, Little flame turns blue with a sorrowful glow. Then I raise my voice and the whole thing shifts, Turns gold in the air as the melody lifts. Photographs smiling, papel picado in the breeze, Sugar skulls shining underneath the trees. I sing for the living, I sing for the gone, A bridge made of music We can all walk upon. Fire and Ghost, That’s the soul that I bring— A skeletal monster With the heart of a singer. [Bridge — Soft] Duerme tranquilo… Yo cantaré por ti… The little flame is sleeping, But it’s still watching me. A tear becomes a raindrop, A smile becomes a spark, The fire spirit changes With every beating heart. [Final Hook — Bigger] LISTEN TO MY SONG, GONNA SET THE MOOD, SOOTHE YOUR SOUL, KEEP GOING WITH IT! Canta conmigo, no tengas miedo! ¡Que las almas bailen bajo el cielo! Marigolds rise, let the candles burn, Día de Muertos—LET THE MEMORIES RETURN! Calaveras, corazones, bajo la luna, TORCH SONG! Let the whole night hum! [Outro — Soft] Hasta mañana… Hasta siempre… The flame fades… But the song remains.
