[Verse 1] We came to celebrate them, to cheer them on their way, with confetti cannons ready for their graduation day. We sent the colors flying, watched them sparkle everywhere, and when the cheering ended, glitter crowned our hair. [Chorus] Throw the blessing in the air. Scatter joy everywhere. Give it freely, give it gladly, there is always more to share. You may aim it toward another, but this much I have found: when you shower someone else, some of the sparkle comes back down. [Verse 2] I stopped to sit beside her when she didn’t know what to do, brought a meal and stayed to listen, helped her make it safely through. I went to bring a blessing, to lighten someone’s load, and somehow in the giving, glitter settled in my soul. [Chorus] Throw the blessing in the air. Scatter joy everywhere. Give it freely, give it gladly, there is always more to share. You may aim it toward another, but this much I have found: when you shower someone else, some of the sparkle comes back down.
