March of the Ents
(Verse 1) Beneath the boughs where ancient murmurs grow, The elders stand in rings of root and slow. Their voices roll like thunder far and deep, From wooded halls where ageless memories sleep. (Verse 2) They speak of wounds cut cruel in bark and leaf, Of silent groves laid low in smoke and grief. The air grows still as branches bend to hear, A rising note of wrath made cold and clear. (Chorus) Awake O trees let hidden strength be shown, Let marching roots reclaim what once was sown. No longer shall the patient forest wait, The earth itself now walks to challenge fate. (Verse 3) From shadowed glade to ridge of stone they stride, With creaking limbs that echo far and wide. Each step resounds through valley field and stream, As living wood fulfils a long held dream. (Verse 4) Their eyes burn bright with sorrow turned to will, A tide of green no axe nor fire can still. The ground awakens under heel and hand, As forest heart advances through the land. (Chorus) Awake O trees let hidden strength be shown, Let marching roots reclaim what once was sown. No longer shall the patient forest wait, The earth itself now walks to challenge fate. (Bridge) Long years of watching hardened into might, Slow thoughts now blaze with purpose fierce and bright. What once was still as stone in shaded air, Moves as one host with ancient strength to bear. (Outro) So sing the march that shook the waiting plain, Of towering forms in righteous rising strain. When forest rose and answered ancient wrong, And turned the world with root and wrath and song.
