Genesis Chapter 2 (Encore)

V5

(Verse 1) In the garden, where the waters meet, God breathed life into man's seat. Formed from dust, in His image made, Adam named all the creatures in the land. (Chorus) The Lord God planted an orchard fair, Trees of every kind, with fruit so rare. In the middle, two trees stood tall, The Tree of Life and the Tree of Knowledge of good and evil. (Verse 2) A river flowed from Eden's heart, Dividing into four parts to start. Pishon, Gihon, Tigris, Euphrates sing, As the Spirit of God in their currents swing. (Bridge) The Lord took man and caused him sleep, To draw out woman's spirit deep. Eve, fair and strong, by his side lay, In love, they walked through the garden day by day. (Verse 3) God commanded, "Do not eat, From the Tree of Knowledge, forbidden fruit." But the serpent cunning, in Eves ear, Whispered lies that filled her with fear. (Chorus) The Lord God planted an orchard fair, Trees of every kind, with fruit so rare. In the middle, two trees stood tall, The Tree of Life and the Tree of Knowledge of good and evil. (Outro) Yet hope remained, like a seed sown, In the promise of redemption shown. One day we'll return to that garden green, Where sin's stain is washed away clean.
