[Intro] "Trick or treat!" [Verse] It's a call, a promise and a threat from times of old Give to those who come calling, or be tricked as told Candy apples, sweet candies and slices of cake All to ward off the mischief they can make Devils, evil witches, ghosts and so much more All come a calling, knocking at your front door Bags in hand, they demand the toll, of being left alone But if denied, their revenge, will chill you to the bone [Chorus] Tricks and Treats The price you pay In the hopes They go away A candy taxation Or other sweets It all comes down To Tricks and Treats [Instrumental Interlude] [Verse] Dark Halloween spirits are on the hunt tonight For the sweets they crave, under dim moonlight House to house, door to door, they all say the same The offer, the challenge, to avoid their twisted game Will you awake to a toilet-papered yard in the morning? Will your doorstep be covered in shit without warning? They promise tricks, but can be appeased with sweets On this night of nights, children rule the empty streets [Chorus] Tricks and Treats The price you pay In the hopes They go away A candy taxation Or other sweets It all comes down To Tricks and Treats [Bridge] You always have the choice They give that to you To give away some candy To avoid what they'll do [Chorus] Tricks and Treats The price you pay In the hopes They go away A candy taxation Or other sweets It all comes down To Tricks and Treats
