God Above Is My Ally! (Psalm 54)

To Maschil! The leading musician on Neginoth: “This one is for you. It’s a psalm from David, about when the Ziphim came to Saul and asked, ‘Won’t David hide himself with us?’" [Verse] Save me God, by your holy name! Hear the prayer that I speak O God; Judge me God, & by your strength sustain! Hear from my mouth my word and my thought. [Chorus] Behold, God above is my ally! Those supporting my neck will the Lord uphold. Behold, God above is my ally! Supporting the ones who bear up my soul. [Verse] Foreigners arise, now against me to fight. They make no place for God among them. Oppressor seek my soul and my throat in the night. Say yeah, They make no place for God yet again. [Chorus] Behold, God above is my ally! Those supporting my neck will the Lord uphold. Behold, God above is my ally! Supporting the ones who bear up my soul. [Verse] You turn back evil on the wicked. Cut off all wickedness with your truth. I will praise your good name, O LORD! I will freely sacrifice O my Lord unto you. [Chorus] Behold, God above is my ally! Those supporting my neck will the Lord uphold. Behold, God above is my ally! Supporting the ones who bear up my soul. From trouble He always delivers me! And my eyes see the fate of my enemies! [Chorus] Behold, God above is my ally! Those supporting my neck will the Lord uphold. Behold, God above is my ally! Supporting the ones who bear up my soul. [25|05|18 Psalm 54 B]
