[Verse] Kings of earth in their pride and might Plotting schemes in the dead of night But heaven laughs a sound so true Their plans fall like morning dew [Chorus] Heaven's smile breaks through the dark Infinite wisdom leaves its mark Futile forces fade away Divine laughter rules the day [Verse 2] Nations rage in vain pursuits Chasing power in tailored suits But higher realms see through the dust In heaven's laughter we trust [Chorus] Heaven's smile breaks through the dark Infinite wisdom leaves its mark Futile forces fade away Divine laughter rules the day [Bridge] Children play in fields of grace Earthly powers lose the race God's own laugh a mighty sound Echoes deep and all around [Chorus] Heaven's smile breaks through the dark Infinite wisdom leaves its mark Futile forces fade away Divine laughter rules the day
