[Intro] Here we are Lord Down at the altar Laying down our pride Hearts open wide [Verse 1] Here we are Lord Down at the altar Decreeing Your word over hearts Over lives You said You would hear every cry of Your people So we come So we come With our hands lifted high We know that we’ve sinned We confess we’ve been faithless Turned away from the path that You set for our feet But Your mercy keeps calling us back to Your presence So we bow So we bow Where Your justice and mercy meet [Chorus] You promised to hear us You promised forgiveness You promised to heal the land (ahh!) Ohh Jesus Come heal our land (ahh) You promised to hear us You promised forgiveness You promised to heal the land (ohh!) Ohh Jesus Come heal our land (come on, Jesus!) [Verse 2] Lord Show Your hand once again in Your power Stretch it over our homes Over cities and streets Break the chains in our minds In our bloodlines and bodies Send a rushing wind of peace Give us a new song to sing A song of redemption for daughters and sons A sound of revival where sorrow once stood Turn every valley to a testimony What the enemy meant for pain You will use it for good [Chorus] You promised to hear us You promised forgiveness You promised to heal the land (ahh!) Ohh Jesus Come heal our land (ahh) You promised to hear us You promised forgiveness You promised to heal the land (ohh!) Ohh Jesus Come heal our land (Jesus, come!) [Bridge] (Yeah!) We’ve been running We’ve been hiding Still Your grace keeps on providing So we’re crying We’re returning Let Your holy fire keep burning From the altar to the nations Pour Your oil on every generation Every knee down Every tongue raised Every heart revived in praise [Chorus] You promised to hear us You promised forgiveness You promised to heal the land (ahh!) Ohh Jesus Come heal our land (ahh) You promised to hear us You promised forgiveness You promised to heal the land (ohh!) Ohh Jesus Come heal our land (Jesus, come!) [Outro] Here we are Lord Down at the altar You heal our hearts And You heal our land (ohh, Jesus)
