L’Appel de la Brume (The Call of the Mist)

STUDIO

They say a ghostly figure, La Dame Blanche—the White Lady—drifts through the cold fog, a spectral siren awaiting those who dare to stray from the beaten ground. She offers only an icy invitation to an eternal slumber. Many have strayed her path; none have returned. This isn't just a story. It's the hum of the deep darkness, the chill on your neck, and the final, quiet whisper from the abyss. The song is based in the La Dame Blanche folk tales and legends of old Louisiana and the Bayou regions. Like most folk stories, there is a lesson and a warning to be learned through an oral tradition. The imagery is plan and has a Biblical root in Proverbs and the warning of a seductive woman of the night... ----------------------------------- Lyrics by : Modern Bard Lyrics and Music: © 2025 Modern Bard All rights reserved. ----------------------------------- 🪦If you enjoy this, check out my Hip Hop / Funk playlist: 👉https://suno.com/playlist/5acbb8e3-f147-4521-9b16-99d79212be27 ----------------------------------- French Creole lyrics were lost to the misty call of La Dame Blanche... Recently an English translation was found clutched in the bleached bones of some lost soul... Midnight strikes on the white line, The dead moon is her accomplice. Here, oblivion is vengeance, Silence is the only service. You seek help, you seek the way, But the road is thirsty, and it sees you. And in this mirage, icy and white, A presence glides, waiting. Come sit with me on the road! The journey is finished, my sweet sorrow! Let us sleep here! Alas, in the dark, we cannot run! She does not speak to you, she is the mist. She is the echo of broken hearts. She promises gold, she promises the feather, But she takes the soul without asking. The headlights are weak, your eyes are heavy, She is the price of all detours. And her white veil, on the windshield, Is the shroud of your last hold. Come sit with me on the road! The journey is finished, my sweet sorrow! Let us sleep here! Alas, in the dark, we cannot run! She… She changed… The abyss…
