πΆ Song 161 β The God Who Can Be Known
Paper 161 β Further Discussions with Rodan πΆ Song: The God Who Can Be Known (Verse 1 β The Philosopher's Quest) I searched the stars for truth untold, For laws eternal, vast and old. The First Great Cause, the Mind Supreme, The source behind the cosmic scheme. Through reason's path I climbed alone, Seeking the Infinite Unknown. Yet every answer left me far From knowing who You truly are. (Verse 2 β Rodan's Question) "Can God be personal?" I cried. "If none are equal at His side, How could the Infinite One above Know fellowship or speak through love?" A silent challenge filled the night, A noble test of reason's light. The Greeks had shown the upward way, But something deeper sought the day. (Verse 3 β Nathaniel's Reply) Then Nathaniel spoke with gentle fire: "The Father's life is higher. Through Son and Spirit He is known, Never eternal and alone. And if all persons find their source Within the Universal Force, The One who gives personality Must hold its perfect destiny." (Chorus) The God who can be known and loved, The Father reigning far above. Not distant law nor faceless flame, But One who calls us each by name. The God who can be known and loved, Whose heart shines through the Eternal Son. Rodan's long search was not the end, But where the greater path began. (Verse 4 β Looking Upon Jesus) We walked with him through dust and rain, Through joy and laughter, loss and pain. No selfish word, no hidden pride, No shadow did his spirit hide. In every friend he saw a soul, In every broken life a goal. Compassion flowed like living streams, More beautiful than wisdom's dreams. (Verse 5 β The Argument of Character) No miracle was needed there, No thunder rolling through the air. His life itself became the sign, A human life infused with divine. We fail and stumble, then repent, Regretting strength and passion spent. Yet in his steps there could be found A righteousness both vast and profound. (Verse 6 β The Father's Presence) When Jesus spoke, the Father seemed Closer than prophets ever dreamed. Not clothed in distant majesty, But reaching out personally. The truth became a living face, The universe became a place Where God's eternal love could be Experienced in humanity. (Bridge) Philosophy can light the road, And reason helps us bear the load. Yet minds alone can never prove The depth of an eternal love. The search for truth fulfilled its role, But something greater touched the soul. The Father's heart stood open wide, And welcomed every seeker inside. (Verse 7 β The Mystery of the Son) At times he walked as any man, Sharing the limits of our span. At times there flashed a higher sight, A glimpse beyond the veil of night. Human and divine entwined, A wonder stretching every mind. The more we learned, the more we knew The mystery itself was true. (Final Chorus) The God who can be known and loved, The Father reigning far above. Not distant cause nor shadowed flame, But One who calls us each by name. The God who can be known and loved, Revealed through Christ, the Father's Son. And when Rodan bowed down at last, A new eternal life begun. (Outro) The quest for God through thought was great, But love unlocked the final gate. And reason, kneeling, came to see: The Infinite is Personality. The Eternal is Father. And the Father desires to be known. πΆππ
