Can’t wait for the world to heal

I overheard a person say that War concentrates power in the hands of those most likely to abuse it (Guitar break) (Song: Male baritone vocals) Well we sure are seeing evidence of that statement In the world these days Somehow history keeps repeating its lowest points And the rich and powerful individuals creep out from under the front porch and bite us on the ankles (Acoustic guitar break) The damage they do is catastrophic to all those around them and like ripples in a lake they infect a much wider part of the world that relies on peace and humanity and the love of their neighbours Until inevitably war is the result and the consequence of the greed and evil of a few manipulative individuals And when they are gone as they always are, they leave behind a long term complicated mess of mistrust, debt and insecurity that takes years and years to rectify and cure (Guitar break) History sure does repeat itself It’s a terrible time in the world these days when those in power abuse it Can’t wait for the world to heal itself Can’t wait for the world to heal Can’t wait for the world to heal itself Can’t wait for the world to heal (Guitar) History sure does repeat itself It’s a terrible time in the world these days when those in power abuse it Can’t wait for the world to heal itself Can’t wait for the world to heal Can’t wait for the world to heal itself Can’t wait for the world to heal History sure does repeat itself It’s a terrible time in the world these days when those in power abuse it Can’t wait for the world to heal itself Can’t wait for the world to heal Can’t wait for the world to heal itself Can’t wait for the world to heal
