(spoken interlude) Everyone keeps saying today is about belonging. Finding your people. Learning how to fit. But no one talks about the cost. The editing. The softening. The way truth gets trimmed down So it doesn’t make anyone uncomfortable. We trade our instincts for approval. Our edges for access. Our voice for being liked. And they call that growth. But if belonging means abandoning yourself If love requires performance If acceptance demands silence Then you can keep it. I’d rather stand alone in my truth Than disappear inside your comfort. So if fitting in costs me my integrity If being chosen means not choosing myself Fuck you.
