V1. We love each other and people say we should get married That we will do but for that there’s no hurry We want to make it a time to remember We’re gonna get married on the 31st of December, 2030…. The door opened up and we entered in Both excited after living in sin For seven years we’d waited so long Our love so true it proved we belonged Together… it seemed the right move To unite us forever, officially. We stood in the middle of the room before the screen In front were two chairs and at table before the Gleaming computer screen’s digital display Announcing in capitals, “MARRIAGE TODAY”. CH. Friends and relations produced their invitations In a swipe card entry format to join the congregation Once all assembled the computer host commenced In response we ticked relevant boxes after each sentence. The ceremony was reasonably brief And nothing too complicated The finger print activation system Confirmed our ID - on the screen (in writing) stated Once we’d responded to all the questions, ’Now Married” was declared As our favourite song was played as this special moment was shared.
