My name is Soul, and I pen this plea, Not just as an employee, but as a soul yearning to be free. Within the walls of Thrive, my spirit took a blow, A traumatic event unfolded, leaving scars that still show. In my role, I stood strong, dedicated and true, But a hidden recording device shattered my view. In a bathroom meant for healing, where privacy should reign, I was unknowingly violated, left with deep emotional pain. This sacred space for our patients, where trust should abide, Became a place of violation, a wound I cannot hide. The breach of safety shook my core, my sense of peace, And the trauma I carry has not found release. When I sought early retirement, a chance to reclaim my worth, I hoped for compassion, for understanding of my dearth. Yet, in response, I was met with further despair, An email stating I'd resigned, a burden too much to bear. In this time of struggle, my health hangs by a thread, With a paycheck so small, it feels like I'm misled. Workers’ compensation lingers, my FMLA denied, In the shadow of this hardship, it’s my dignity that’s tied. So I reach out to you now, with a heart open wide, Requesting early retirement, with compensation beside. For the emotional and financial toll I’ve had to face, I seek your understanding, your kindness, your grace. Thank you for your time and for hearing my plea, In this journey of healing, I hope to find peace and be free.
