[ Counter, rather converse, The Devil's counter to God's goodness, of @holy_runner's "God's Precious Gift" song and quasi follow up to EVIL PREVAIL. SATAN'S EVIL GRIFT https://suno.com/s/OFcrk5oAzh8vWfil ] [Verse 1] He shows up with a clipboard and a clean white grin Says, "Just sign here, buddy, let the fun begin" Got a payment plan, got a friend in a suit Got a cheap little promise and a polished boot He sells you the fix, then he sells you the itch Takes a cut off your panic, calls it "make it rich" Runs a little shop out behind your fears Keeps the shelves full of doubt and the register near [Chorus] That’s Satan’s evil grift Same old scam, new twist He’ll hand you the key, then lock the gate Smile like a savior, charge you late And when you ask what it’s for He says, "You wanted more" That’s Satan’s evil grift Man, he never misses a shift [Verse 2] He’s got your phone blowing up at 2:13 With a ten-step plan and a fake routine Tells you run faster, buy bigger, stay thin Keep proving your worth with a hole in your skin He loves a crowded room when nobody’s seen What gets traded away for the shiny-screen sheen Takes your name off the label, puts his on the door Then acts surprised when you can’t find the floor [Chorus] That’s Satan’s evil grift Same old scam, new twist He’ll hand you the key, then lock the gate Smile like a savior, charge you late And when you ask what it’s for He says, "You wanted more" That’s Satan’s evil grift Man, he never misses a shift [Bridge] He don’t need horns in the hallway He’s in the fine print and the wait In the "limited time only" In the door that feels too late But I seen the ledger, I seen the trick Ain’t much magic in a borrowed fix You can keep your name Keep your hands Keep walking out while you still can [Final Chorus] That’s Satan’s evil grift Same old scam, new twist He’ll hand you the key, then lock the gate Smile like a savior, charge you late And when he says "sign here" You can tell him clear That’s Satan’s evil grift And I’m done with the shift [ (C) 2026 Joseph M Lenard media SEND US FEEDBACK (via CTP Show): https://www.buzzsprout.com/2210487/fan_mail/new - https://tinyurl.com/SubscribeToCTP - CTP Audios: https://tinyurl.com/CTPonBuzzsprout - CTP Videos: https://tinyurl.com/CTPonBITCHUTE - https://tinyurl.com/CTPgear - https://tinyurl.com/JLenardDetroitGear - AI images/videos/audio CTP uses: https://tinyurl.com/GalaxyMagicaAI - https://www.buymeacoffee.com/jlenarddetroit ]
