This Is Just a Disaster (Malcolm Duff Runthrough Part 3)

A Combination of Musical Theatre, Rock Opera and Comedy

[PIANO INTRO]

[ORCHESTRA BUILDS]

[MALCOLM, male vocalist] [Confrontational]
Glamis!!! What have you done?
What did you do to Duncan?
What is this, how did you become ruler?
Who declared you? You traitor!
There’s no way you’ll stay, I’ll stand up to you,
You’ll leave this town, or you’ll be through!

[GLAMIS, male vocalist]
Who do you think you are? I’ll take Lucinda away,
If you don’t obey my laws, you’ll regret this day!

[LUCINDA, female vocalist]
Malcolm, it’s not worth the fight,
Let’s keep our heads down, stay out of sight.

[MALCOLM, male vocalist]
Nay, my love, I don’t trust Glamis,
I must protect you, no matter the cost.
And I must free the town from his tyranical rule.

[GLAMIS, male vocalist]
Free the town? Ha! Such a fool!

[SUZY, female vocalist]
It should be me he’s protecting, I mean really!

[ROY, male vocalist]
Suzy, hush! That’s not in the script! They're trying to act!

[SUZY, female vocalist]
At least I can act! Unlike some people here.....

[DANIEL, male vocalist]
All make way for Malcolm Duff who's come to save the day,
And there it is, my final line in the play

[SCOOTER, male vocalist]
Hahahahahahahahaha
I haven’t a clue what to say...

[ROY, male vocalist]
Two weeks, Scooter! Get your act together!

[SCOOTER, male vocalist]
Oh look at Suzy, she gets down girl….oh down down down girl….... YEAH GIRL!! UH UH Oh YEAH!
Hahahahahahahahahaha

[SUZY, female vocalist]
Hey watch it Scooter, just you get back! Or you’ll be under attack

[KAREN, female vocalist]
Scooter, please behave yourself and focus, this is not how it should be!

[DANCE INSTRUMENTAL BREAK]

[MAX, male voice, spoken]

[INSTRUMENTAL]

[MAX, male voice, spoken]
What the hell is that?
Why is nobody moving?

[MAX, male vocalist]
Hey hey hey hey!
This is where the dancers come in, no, no, no!
That move was wrong, you’re too slow!

[KAREN, female vocalist]
Where are the harmonies? We worked for weeks,
They’ve all disappeared, and all our tweaks!

[DANIEL, male vocalist]
I’m trying, but I’m just one voice!
I wanna give it more, but do I have a choice?

[GLAMIS, male vocalist]
Ha, you do your worst Duff! But this land is mine now
You come try it, and you'll see how!
Engarde!

[GUITAR SOLO]

[LUCINDA, female vocalist]
Malcolm, my hero, you saved the day!
Now you and I can fly away.

[GLAMIS, male vocalist]
Oh no, it’s not over, Duff, you think you can outsmart me?
You’ll pay! I’ll take my revenge, just you wait and see!

[CLARISSA, female vocalist]
And so the town can sing again bright
But I need to tell him the truth, I’ll break his heart tonight

[STEVE, male vocalist]
HEY! You came in too early! That happens in Act 2. Didn't let me say my next line!

[SUZY, female vocalist]
I don’t care, it’s my time to shine!

[GLAMIS, male vocalist]
Ha Ha, It’s not over yet, I am still the master.

[ROY, male vocalist]
Oh my god, this is just a disaster!
