Ready to get weird? #WeirdScience š„š§¬š¶ _________________ Hey⦠turn that up. Cityās burninā, but we still breathinā. Graouās here. Paradeās here. We gonā march slow, talk raw, bless loud. Iām tryna hold this block like my mamaās last prayer Windows rattle summerās teeth bite the air Kids chalk dreams on the curb, watch āem fade I talk to concrete it remembers what we trade Got sweat on my collar, gospel in my chest Old man hums curses says this blockās possessed But I stay. I spit. I step wide in the mess Shadows gossip ābout my sins I confess They said "Graou, you soft for a beast" let āem preach Iām scratchinā up coins just to feed this speech Rooftops whisper secrets through the heatwaveās scream Iām half saint, half scam, half late night dream Bless this block, bless these feet Bless these lies we never keep Bless that fight in the dirty street We still here we still bleed See my cousin sell truth for a three-day high See my neighbor stack rent just to watch hope die See the preacher lose faith but the choir donāt know They still hum hallelujah when the lights too low Graou stomp pavement, soul in my grin Got sins for sale, you can buy my skin This block got gospel stuck in its throat We break chains but we still take notes "Hey choir: louder. Let āem hear this prayerā¦" Bless this block, bless these feet Bless the lies that keep us sweet Bless the fight we canāt delete We still stand ā we still bleed "Graou say GRAOU" / GRAOU "Choir say BLESS" / BLESS "Streets say MARCH" / MARCH "And we never rest ! YES!" I march slow through a broken dawn Eyes bloodshot from a life half gone Kids say "Graou, tell us where you sleep" I say "Under this block, in the secrets you keep" Mama prayed walls would stay gold and warm Papa prayed sons would outlive this storm But Iām still here ā barefoot soul on tar Writinā psalms on receipts from this corner bar I spit sermons on sidewalks, pennies at my feet One hand in tomorrow, one lost in this beat She said "Graou, why you pray to broken streetlights?" I said "They see me clearer than your church at night" Iām the ghost in the alley, hymn on repeat Iām the crack in your window when your hope retreats Iām the drumline sneakinā through your rent overdue Iām the roar in your chest you never knew Bless this block, bless these feet Bless this hunger, bitter sweet Bless this sin we canāt delete We still rise ā we still bleed March slow, roar loud. Graou aināt gone ā just hidden in your crowd. Holy block parade, sinners and saints ā we still stand here. Feet dirty. Heart clean. Amen.
