I wanted the lyrics to unfold like a ritual chant, a slow summoning of tension between confinement and inevitable destruction. It begins with the image of a young wolf, deceptively small yet already hungering beyond control, bound by Gleipnir, a chain woven of fear and blood. Even in his captivity, his eyes burn with the night itself, hinting at a destiny greater than the gods who sought to restrain him. Through the verses, I tried to carry that sense of doom, each breath another thread pulling Ragnarök closer. In the bridge, I wanted the sound and imagery to explode: chains shattering, the sky torn open, Fenrir’s teeth reaching for the sun, the world trembling beneath his steps. The refrain “Fenrir kemr… Fenrir kemr…” became for me both prophecy and war cry, echoing with inevitability. Musically and thematically, I aimed to capture the primal terror of unchained destruction, a force that no god, no chain, no silence can contain.
