[spoken word, poetic reading, heavy distortion, muffled, reverbed, echoing] Promises, sweet words and convincing stories make the slowly declining heart skip a few beats and speed up a tick past sludge when it thinks its found - "happy". This is the heart sprinting towards its end not fluttering back to life however. Ups and downs are twisted to the point the soul frays, heart snaps and mind breaks and all you can do is smile and pretend it hasn't happened.
