Literary night. He takes the stage. “Tantra Woman.” Page after page. The audience leans in, tea in their hands, waiting for wisdom from a spiritual man. Not a breath of Zen. Not a single line about seeing the self without dressing it divine. Just a bald man with a poet's pen, writing about women he wants to bend. He says: “Surrender.” “Awaken.” “Energy.” “Trust.” Funny how enlightenment always seems to end where the ego starts. Oh, you wanna blindfold me? Think you've got something I ain't seen? Same old rope, same old line, same old guru in a spiritual disguise. Pot-bellied prophet, fifty-five, calling his midlife crisis a way to come alive. What are you gonna teach me? Tell me what you've got. You didn't find Nirvana. You just found a better word for lust. “Spiritual master.” Watch his YouTube hands. Learned his shibari from weekend brands. Chakras. Alignment. Cosmic flow. Incense burning in the afterglow. Crystals on the table. Patchouli in the air. Three thousand kroner for a sacred chair. Probably IKEA. Probably beige. Probably bought during his spiritual phase. He says: “Let go.” He says: “Surrender.” As if changing the vocabulary changes the intention underneath it. He didn't kill the ego. He gave it beads. He didn't transcend desire. He gave desire a spiritual degree. Front row sipping tea, looking suitably moved. “Oh my God— he's so deep.” He talks about the body. He talks about the soul. Then somehow every teaching needs a woman for the role. “You are one with the cosmos.” “You are sacred.” “You are divine.” Funny how the cosmos always seems to look like somebody he'd like to unwind. Third eye open. Common sense closed. Spiritual vocabulary over an old desire exposed. No cosmic wisdom. No ancient truth. Just a lonely man trying to impress somebody younger than you. You really think you've discovered something I haven't tried? Oh, please. I've seen the ropes. I've seen the crystals. I've heard the chakra speech. I've watched desire put on expensive linen and call itself enlightenment. I've watched ego light incense and ask to be worshipped. I've watched a lonely man learn the word “somatic” and suddenly become a fucking healer. You didn't transcend yourself. You accessorized yourself. That's not enlightenment. That's branding. “Surrender.” “Awaken.” “Feel the energy.” “Open your feminine.” Oh, shut up. You downloaded a PDF. You bought some rope. You watched three videos. You lit a fucking candle. And now you're Buddha? BUDDHA?! Zen doesn't need a blindfold. Zen doesn't need a guru telling you how profound you are. Zen doesn't need incense to make desire look holy. Zen doesn't need a sacred IKEA chair. And Buddhism didn't invent your midlife crisis. You did. You didn't transcend the ego. You gave it a fucking wardrobe. YOU ARE JUST A MAN IN A FUCKING SHIRT! Oh, you wanna blindfold me? Think you've got something I ain't seen? Same old rope. Same old game. Same old ego with a sacred name. Pot-bellied prophet, trying to survive, turning every fucking appetite into a spiritual high. What are you gonna teach me? Tell me what you've got. You didn't find enlightenment. You just found a vocabulary for what you want. There's no tantra in your tantra woman. No Zen in your bed. Just a cheap blindfold you bought online... and a very expensive story inside your head. Same old rope. Same old man. Same old bullshit. Goodnight, guru.
