Inspired by Tchaikovsky’s “The Nutcracker,” this piece captures the whimsical, dreamy feeling of a winter wonderland in a light, classical style. The funny thing is, I made this in the middle of July, sweating in the heat, while listening to a melody meant for snow. While it’s summer here, it’s winter somewhere else—like in Australia, New Zealand, and parts of South America. So if you’re in the middle of winter, I hope this brings a bit of warmth and magic to your day. And if you’re in the middle of summer, maybe you’ll feel a little snow in your mind while you listen. Enjoy this tiny snow globe waltz wherever you are on this spinning Earth.
