Back in My Days

Back In My Days (Mandopop / English + Singlish) Verse 1 Every meeting starts the same, Boss leans back… Calls my name. “You all nowadays… Too many fancy things.” “Back in my days… No cloud. No AI. Still can make it work.” ⸻ Pre-Chorus Aiya… Here we go again. Same old story… Number ten. ⸻ Chorus 🎵 Back in my days… Everything was better. No automation. Still we worked together. Back in my days… Life was simple lah. Now every problem… Need another PowerPoint ah? ⸻ Verse 2 No dashboards. No Teams. No tickets in the queue. Just one phone call… And somehow everyone knew. Now got AI. Cloud. Scripts. Automation. Still every meeting… Need long explanation. ⸻ Pre-Chorus Boss says, “Old ways never fail.” I smile… Then check my email. ⸻ Chorus 🎵 Back in my days… Everything was slower. Need three days… Now one hour. Back in my days… Coffee tasted best. Maybe not because of coffee… We were just less stressed. ⸻ Bridge Maybe… The old days weren’t better. Maybe… We were younger. Maybe… The stories got bigger… Every year. ⸻ Final Chorus 🎵 Back in my days… Thanks for paving the road. We’ll keep the memories… But lighten the load. Back in my days… One thing still stays true… Every generation… Builds something new. ⸻ Outro (spoken) Boss: “Back in my days…” Me: “Noted, Uncle.” 😎 🤣🤣🤣
