[Verse 1] This morning I looked through the window, And the world looked gray and dim. I thought the fog was outside, Till the light came pouring in. The glass was wet with sorrow, The pane was veiled with mist. Then the Word rose up within me, Like a promise I had missed. [Pre-Chorus] We see in part, we know in part, Through shadows on the glass. But the Light is still the Light of God, And every fog will pass. [Chorus] When the Sun clears the glass, We will see Him face to face. No more mist between the Bride And the glory of His grace. Every half-truth falls away, Every shadow meets its end. When the Son of God returns, All things will be clear again. [Verse 2] A real word can be twisted, A true tear misunderstood. A sign can draw our eyes to God, Or be turned from what is good. Like Bereans, we keep searching, Testing every word we hear. We hold fast to Jesus only, Till the morning makes Him clear. [Pre-Chorus] Not every voice that names Him Is bowed before His throne. But the Spirit points to Jesus, And Christ will claim His own. [Chorus] When the Sun clears the glass, We will see Him face to face. No more mist between the Bride And the glory of His grace. Every half-truth falls away, Every shadow meets its end. When the Son of God returns, All things will be clear again. [Bridge] I have been crucified with Christ, It is no longer I who live. The life I live, I live by faith In the One who chose to give. He loved me and He gave Himself, Grace will not be set aside. If law could make the wounded whole, Then why was Jesus crucified? [Final Chorus] When the Sun clears the glass, We will see Him face to face. No more mist between the Bride And the glory of His grace. Every falsehood will be broken, Every hidden thing made plain. When the King returns in fire, Only truth will still remain. When the Sun clears the glass, All the dark will lose its claim. We will know as we are known, And we will worship without shame. [Outro] The glass is dark for now, But the Word is still our light. The Son is coming soon, And He will end the night.
