Waiting On Christmas

[Instrumental] [Verse 1] Warm air lingers, no winter’s chill, Silent skies where no snow falls still. The news keeps buzzing, the world’s askew, Where’s the wonder we once knew? I string the lights, but they don’t shine, Though Christmas comes, it feels out of time. [Chorus building more full] I’m waiting on Christmas to feel it once more, The peace, the love, the joy we adore. Lost in distractions, I’ll clear the way, To the heart of the season where hope can stay. [Verse 2] Empty streets where no songs play, Strange and restless this holiday. We’re caught in the chaos, the rush, the noise, Forgetting the beauty in simpler joys. But a candle flickers, steady and true, Guiding me back to what I once knew. [Chorus] I’m waiting on Christmas to feel it once more, The peace, the love, the joy we adore. Lost in distractions, I’ll clear the way, To the heart of the season where hope can stay. [Building up Instrumental full band] [Bridge: Lively] This is the time for love to grow, With family near, His light will show. Through Christ we find the season’s way, In every heart, He lives today. [Final Chorus] Now I’ve found Christmas, it’s here in my heart, The peace, the love, the hope restarts. No more distractions, I’ve cleared the way, To the light of the season where joy will stay. [End Song]
