[INTRO - AMPLIFIER HUM, RADIO STATIC, GUITAR FEEDBACK] [Radio static] DJ, distorted: 11:11… [Static cuts] [HEAVY GUITAR RIFF] [VERSE 1] I found a picture hiding in the hallway Behind a frame I hadn’t touched in years Three strangers standing underneath a streetlight Smiling like they knew I would be here There’s a date written underneath the corner Ink is faded but the numbers still remain I checked the calendar, checked the newspaper That date hasn’t happened yet [PRE-CHORUS] Tell me I’m dreaming Tell me I’m wrong Tell me somebody’s playing with the clock Because that photograph Has my face in it And I’m standing there with someone I don’t know [CHORUS] There’s a picture on the wall And I’m in it There’s a future in the frame And I’m living it I don’t know that street I don’t know that girl But somehow she’s holding my hand In a picture from another world There’s a picture on the wall And it shouldn’t exist If tomorrow hasn’t happened Then how did I get this? [VERSE 2] I drove downtown looking for the streetlight Found the corner just before the rain Same old building, same cracked sidewalk Same little café with a different name Then I saw her sitting by the window Same face from the photograph She looked at me like she had been waiting Then she stood up and walked away [PRE-CHORUS] I chased her through the traffic But she vanished in the crowd Then every radio around me Started screaming way too loud [CHORUS] There’s a picture on the wall And I’m in it There’s a future in the frame And I’m living it I don’t know that street I don’t know that girl But somehow she’s holding my hand In a picture from another world There’s a picture on the wall And it shouldn’t exist If tomorrow hasn’t happened Then how did I get this? [BRIDGE - GUITARS DROP, LOW BASS PULSE] [Radio static] VOICE: You found the picture. MALE: Who is this? VOICE: You know her. MALE: I’ve never seen her before. VOICE: Not yet. [Static] MALE: What happens tomorrow? VOICE: Tomorrow isn’t the problem. MALE: Then what is? [Long silence] VOICE: Yesterday. [HEAVY GUITAR CRASH] [FINAL CHORUS] There’s a picture on the wall And I’m in it Now the future knows my name And I’m listening That girl in the frame Was standing in the rain And when she looked at me She whispered something I can’t explain There’s a picture on the wall And now I understand Maybe I didn’t find the future… Maybe the future found me first [OUTRO - DISTORTED GUITAR] [Radio static] DJ: You’re listening to 11:11. [Pause] DJ, quietly: And tonight’s photograph… …was taken yesterday. [LOUD STATIC] [CLICK] [END]
