What’s your Suno journey? For me I started writing poems in 2017 in response to challenging circumstances. These poems contained incessant rhymes. I self-published them. I found a couple of people who thought they were great. Most people though weren’t interested. I then thought that these might make good songs. I paid some people on Fivver lots of $ to turn them into songs – with varying degrees of success. Basically they ended up sung poems. I realised that singing verses that all rhymed was often boring. None of my friends expressed much interest in my music. Not much airplay on Spotify etc occurred either. Then one lucky day about a year ago I was reading a computer magazine which mentioned Suno – my goodness – all my prayers were answered! I then looked up ChatGPT and discovered that interesting pop songs needed verses (I sort of knew this anyway) and bridges. For me it’s really hard to write anything that is a different rhyme. From time to time I even step out bravely and write a line that doesn’t rhyme with anything. This is hard though (is there a therapy for this?). All of my lyrics are meant to promote a subtle message – this is my motivation for sharing. I spent the last 12 months just writing songs on Suno for myself (about 100) – I never looked up anyone else’s profile ever or tried to promote myself. Basically I haven’t listened to any modern music for the past 20 years. I did wonder though – why I only got one play per song and no likes. Would love to hear your Suno story How you came to be on here – why you write songs.
