[Verse 1] Porch light flickers Plastic skeleton grins Sheets for ghosts We’re zipping up our skins Face paint crooked Fake blood on my chin Laughing in the mailbox fog Let the weird begin [Chorus] It’s the midnight candy parade (hey!) Masks on We’re never afraid Zombies dance in the driveway Witches blast down the hallway Every scream is just for fun Under pumpkin-colored suns We’re alive in the shadows we made In the midnight candy parade [Verse 2] Door creaks open We all shout “trick or treat!” Cauldrons full of chocolate Leaves stuck to our feet Neighbor with the rubber axe Jumps out of a tree I drop my bag We lose our minds Then fall down laughing in the street [Chorus] It’s the midnight candy parade (hey!) Masks on We’re never afraid Zombies dance in the driveway Witches blast down the hallway Every scream is just for fun Under pumpkin-colored suns We’re alive in the shadows we made In the midnight candy parade [Bridge] Flashlight faces Marshmallow flames Tell that story Forget the names If you get chills Hold my hand tight We can be brave For one strange night (woo!) [Chorus] It’s the midnight candy parade (hey!) Masks on We’re never afraid Zombies dance in the driveway Witches blast down the hallway Every scream is just for fun Under pumpkin-colored suns We’re alive in the shadows we made In the midnight candy parade
