[Verse 1] I found a map in the glove box With a coffee ring and your name You drew a star by the gas station Said, “meet me there, same day” We laughed till the rain hit metal Kept time on the old dash clock You said the world feels bigger When you stop and just talk [Pre-Chorus] So roll it down Let it all spin We don’t need plans To get into it [Chorus] Backseat confetti Backseat confetti We make a little mess And call it lucky Backseat confetti Backseat confetti You and me, we shine In the ugly-lovely [Verse 2] There’s a dent on the passenger door From when you swung it open fast A melted mint in the cup holder A tiny scene from the past You play that song from the radio And nod like you knew it first I keep my hands on the steering wheel Like I’m steering a burst [Pre-Chorus] So roll it down Let it all spin We don’t need plans To get into it [Chorus] Backseat confetti Backseat confetti We make a little mess And call it lucky Backseat confetti Backseat confetti You and me, we shine In the ugly-lovely [Bridge] If the sky goes heavy We can wait it out Counting every laugh line Till the lights come back [tape-stop] [Final Chorus] Backseat confetti Backseat confetti We make a little mess And call it lucky Backseat confetti Backseat confetti You and me, we shine In the ugly-lovely Backseat confetti Backseat confetti Keep the little mess That made us lovely
