The wind remembers my name. [Verse 1] Steel beside my hand, the fire fades, my brothers dream of home. In the dark I hear the mountains hum, a rhythm older than the throne. [Drop] No prayer for victory, only peace in what must be. [Chorus] If I must fall, then let it be light — a bloom that burns before the night. Honor my name, not my pain, I am the calm within the flame. [Verse 2] I see my son behind closed eyes, his laughter soft as spring. “Live, be wise,” I whisper low, “the cherry falls for everything.” [Bridge (Tanka)] Dawn will find my blade, red with dreams, not blood or hate. Softly fades the rain, may my soul become the wind, guard my son’s pure heart within. [Final Chorus] If I must fall, then let it be light — a bloom that burns before the night. Honor my truth, not my pain, I am the calm within the flame. [Outro] The wind still whispers — Masashige.
