[Intro] Lord, come and help us Lord, come and help us In a world that shakes and trembles I will hold Your Word [Verse 1] Lies are rising all around Two-faced hearts are speaking loud Proud and empty words are growing Still, my eyes are turned to You Human words may change and fade Promises may break away But Your truth will never waver Your Word lives within my heart [Pre-Chorus] Lord, keep my heart within Your truth Keep me from the empty words Your faithful Word will hold me still You lift me up again [Chorus] Pure is Your Word Pure as silver refined seven times Faithful is Your Word Forever You will stand Lord, keep me and protect me Keep us through this troubled age Your Word is my foundation Your Word will be my way [Verse 2] You hear the cries of the weak You see the tears of the poor “I will rise and bring them safety” This is what the Lord has said Though the proud may rise above Though the wicked fill the streets Your hand is always here to hold me I will never be afraid [Bridge] Human voices fade away But Your Word will live forever Human promises may change But Your Word will never change Oh, Your Word Oh, Your precious Word You are guarding my heart I will hold You forever [Final Chorus] Pure is Your Word Pure as silver refined seven times Faithful is Your Word Forever You will stand Lord, keep me and protect me Keep us through this troubled age Your Word is my foundation Your Word will be my light [Outro] Lord, come and help us I will hold Your Word I will hold Your Word Forever I will stand
