ありがとうの気持ちを込めてジャケット写真ちゃんと笑わせてます笑 ------ for ENGLISH Sorry for the sudden post, but I decided to turn the part about my motto that I wrote for 'Light -SOLUS-' into actual lyrics. I scribbled this down in the middle of the night, realizing, 'Hey, there's this way of conveying it, too!' As for the technique of taking my scribbled Japanese and translating it into English lyrics... I totally stole that from #digitalgirl's insanely cool song!!! lol I'm not just blindly letting it sing, you know. I think it turned out pretty cool! By the way, the instrument used in the background is the Erhu. I experimented with it, sometimes making it sound like noise and other times using it elegantly. For now, I'm posting the original raw Japanese text just as I wrote it before the translation! And to show my gratitude, I made sure to make her smile properly in the jacket image this time (lol). PS.The English translation of the poem is posted at the end of the screen. ---- ENGLISH lyrics ---- I can only help the people who stay within my reach. I’m no saint, and maybe I belong to the clumsy, foolish kind. I’m not strong enough to offer my hand to everyone. If I spread myself too thin and fall apart, then none of it would mean anything— I’ve always known that. Even so, those within my circle… I will never abandon them. I will never look away. That is the one vow I carved into myself long ago. So I stay until the very end. And I keep trying— so that I can truly help the ones I hold close. That’s the way I chose to live. Long ago, a single line from a song changed me. “When you’re about to fall, I’ll lend these hands to you”— something like that. I won’t say whose song it is, but you’d probably find it if you searched. When I heard that, I thought, even as a child: If I collapse, that’s the end. Without that resolve, maybe I couldn’t reach out to anyone at all. That’s where my motto was born— to offer my hand, even if it’s at the very last moment. It might look like a life full of restrictions, like it would wear me down. But for me, it’s the foundation— and I still want to be kind to people. To help in small, quiet ways whenever I can. And maybe… this way of telling someone is okay too. Thank you, ki-ka.
