Behind The Curtain

V6

[Verse 1] Pull back the curtain, let me see Past all the kingdoms claiming victory, Past every ruler, every throne, Every heart that says, “I built this on my own.” Power turns to pride when we forget Every breath and every gift is borrowed yet. And when we raise ourselves above Your name, Someone always gets crushed along the way. [Chorus] So teach me to be faithful where I stand, To serve instead of reaching to command. When I cannot see what tomorrow brings, Keep my eyes upon the King of kings. Beasts will rise and kingdoms disappear, But I don’t have to live my life in fear. I don’t have to understand everything— I just need to know who reigns. [Verse 2] Daniel saw the visions in the night, Horns and beasts and kingdoms in their might. He sought to understand what God revealed, But didn’t make the mystery his field. He held these matters deep within his heart, Then rose again to do his faithful part. Revelation wasn’t given to escape today— It taught him how to faithfully obey. [Bridge] Recognize the pride, resist its call, And when I find it in myself—repent of it all. Let me never excuse it just because I like the one who’s rising up. Jesus had all authority, Yet came beside the weak like me. He didn’t crush—He came to serve, And gave His life for those He loved. [Final Chorus] So I’ll worship God above everything, Walk in Your ways and follow my King. Love and serve wherever You place me, Trusting what I cannot yet see. Kings will rise and empires will fall, But Your Kingdom will outlast them all. I don’t have to know how everything ends— I know the One who reigns. [Outro] So pull back the curtain when fear fills my eyes, Past the beasts and kingdoms that rise. I’ll hold the mystery and still remain— Faithful today, because I know who reigns.
