[Verse 1] In the waters where I used to lay Waiting for the angel's stir so they say A man he came with words so bold Rise up he said take your hold [Verse 2] Crippled no more stood on my feet Feeling life under the sun's warm heat Men in robes they questioned me How did you break from misery [Chorus] He told me walk he told me stand In a voice so sure a guiding hand Sabbath rules could not bind The healer's love now I find [Verse 3] They pressed on hard with fierce will Who dared defy our holy hill I told them true it's not my sin The healer's words are life within [Verse 4] No longer by the pool I lay Now I walk in light each day The leaders can't take this away A miracle came my way [Bridge] The man he spoke the name divine Rising up I knew was mine No law could chain a soul so free For the healer brought me liberty
