[Intro — spoken, low and close] Lantern Keepers, gather close. SIVvyserve—serve what you have learned. Yeshua is the Light. Let His light begin. [Verse 1 — male, raspy] There was a time when fear held the room, Questions were buried, hearts learned to hide. Voices were mocked when they spoke the truth, Still Yeshua’s light wouldn’t die. Now we’re standing where the old wounds start, Naming the hurt we were taught to conceal. We won’t hand down a divided heart; By grace, we can face it and heal. [Pre-Chorus — female, raspy] We don’t need to hate to break a chain. We don’t answer every wound with pain. When shadows rise, we still choose love; Yeshua, keep our eyes above. [Chorus — duet] We are the generation of light, We’ll shine through the fear, we’ll shine through the night. We won’t curse the dark or become what it made— We bring truth, mercy, courage, and faith. The light still shines; it has not gone away. Together we remember, together we rise— We are the generation of light. [Verse 2 — female, raspy] Even the shadows can show us the place Where we need healing, what we must face. We bring every wound to the feet of the One Whose mercy is new with the rising sun. “Do not be overcome by evil”— Overcome evil with good. We’re learning to answer the hurt with compassion, And let what was broken be made new. [Pre-Chorus — male, raspy] We don’t need permission to let our light shine. We don’t have to carry old hurt all our lives. [Bridge — half-time, drums drop back] “Let your light shine before others”— Let them see the love in what we do. The light shines on in the darkness; The darkness cannot overcome it. We are not greater than those before us; We’re choosing a different road. With Yeshua guiding every footstep, We can lay down the hurt we were told to hold. [Final Chorus — full drums, duet with chant responses] We are the generation of light, We’ll shine through the fear, we’ll shine through the night. We won’t curse the dark or become what it made— We bring truth, mercy, courage, and faith. [Female response] The light still shines! [Male response] It has not gone away! [Duet] Together we remember, together we rise— We are the generation of light. [Outro — chant] We don’t pass down the fear— We pass the flame. Yeshua is the Light— We carry His name.
