V1: Let the fire of the spirit take my anger to use it to refine Like a burning flame to fuel my heart Turn it to a passion based in the divine I cannot let it consume, I refuse to let it define Instead, I follow Jehovah and his righteousness, leaving the cruelty of this world behind Chorus: Oh, Jehovah, my heart beats just for you It is in your undeserved kindness that I can finally find the truth Please help me to stay loyal through every single test I want to stay within your love and forgiveness, I promise i will always try to do my best V2: When sorrow's waves crash down upon me Do not let me drown in self-pity's sea Keep my heart soft and keep it open wide A vessel for your love, a heart and mind that won't divide Chorus: Oh, Jehovah, my heart beats just for you It is in your undeserved kindness that I can finally find the truth Please help me to stay loyal through every single test I want to stay within your love and forgiveness, I promise i will always try to do my best Bridge: I will hold on to your hope I will trust in your holy plan Though the road is long and rough, the journey is worth making the stand I will keep my eyes upon you As our hearts beat as one In your love, you help me find my way until the dawn of the new kingdom is won Chorus: Oh, Jehovah, my heart beats just for you It is in your undeserved kindness that I can finally find the truth Please help me to stay loyal through every single test I want to stay within your love and forgiveness, I promise i will always try to do my best
