V5

[Intro – heavy, rhythmic boot-stomps and deep resonant lute thumps, crowd already chuckling and pounding tables] [Verse 1 – loud, cheerful, half-shouted like a tavern toast] He rolls out of his bedroll still wearing yesterday’s mead, Grabs a leg of mutton and declares it time to feed. The party’s making battle plans with maps and careful schemes, He just cracks his knuckles, grins, and says the only thing he seems to mean. [Pre-chorus – building, everyone leaning in with wicked grins] No tactics, no spells, no clever little tricks, Just one phrase that always sticks! [Chorus – full tavern roar, fists and mugs slamming in unison] “I would like to rage! I would like to rage!” That’s all he ever says no matter what the situation’s stage! “I would like to rage! I would like to rage!” When the innkeeper asks for coin, when the barmaid wants his age! [Verse 2 – even louder, getting rowdier and funnier] We’re sneaking through the crypt, trying not to make a sound, He trips on his own boot and yells it at the ground. We’re negotiating peace with the goblin chieftain’s clan, He stands up, flexes, and shouts it at the entire negotiation plan. The cleric’s giving last rites, the rogue is picking locks, He just bellows from the back like a bull inside a box! [Pre-chorus – building louder] No fancy words, no ancient lore, Just that one line he lives for! [Bridge – sudden half-time slowdown, voice drops deep and serious, lute goes heavy and respectful] But when the black dragon lands and the sky itself turns red, When the party’s broken, bleeding, and every hope has fled… The little ones are crying, the wizard’s spells run dry, He plants his feet, cracks his neck, and lets that battle-cry fly. The roar shakes mountains, the rage turns tide, He becomes the storm that keeps us all alive. [Final Chorus – massive, epic, voices layered like a war-chant, lute exploding into triumphant power chords] He would like to rage! He would like to rage! And when the darkness laughs, that rage becomes the turning page! He would like to rage! He would like to rage! For the friends who fight beside him, for the light we’re fighting for! He would like to rage! He would like to rage! Let the bards sing loud, let the legends be restored— He would like… to rage! [Outro – huge final chord held, then sudden big group shout] I WOULD LIKE TO RAGE! (Everyone roars back) I WOULD LIKE TO RAGE! (He slams the lute on the table like a war-hammer, raises his tankard high, and the whole tavern explodes into cheers, stomps, and one last thunderous “I WOULD LIKE TO RAGE!” that rattles the rafters. Tomorrow he’ll probably shout it at breakfast… but tonight, that rage saved them all.)
