[WOLF HOWL] [Slow violin, and a harpsichord playing the beginning ] [Spoken Word — Female Vocal, Haunting and Raspy] I had to find my sister, and it didn’t take long. Somewhere deep in the forest, I found her car abandoned on the side of the road. I’d followed the GPS on her phone, and the battery was almost dead. I looked around. No Alicia. I called out her name. But instead of an answer… I heard a growl. [Verse 1] My senses heightened as I turned around, A massive figure emerged from the woods. I couldn’t believe my fucking eyes, Half human, half wolf, standing before me. It hit me hard, knocked me into a tree, Even as a vampire, I fucking felt that one! But something about this creature seemed strange, A torn business suit, a feminine frame. And then it hit me… Alicia? [Spoken Word — Female Vocal, Haunting and Raspy] Those were Alicia’s eyes! And around her neck was the locket Dad had given her. How the hell could this have happened? I looked straight into her eyes and called her name. She stopped, looking confused. Then she turned and ran. I chased her through the woods until we reached another abandoned cabin. [Chorus] What are the odds? How is this possible? Two twin sisters become supernatural monsters. There’s gotta be some irony in all of this, Like some twisted destiny we cannot dismiss. [Verse 2] I reached the cabin as the sun began to rise, Just in time to escape the morning light. Inside, my sister lay upon the floor, Changing back to the woman she was before. She was sobbing, trembling, filled with fear, I knelt beside her and pulled her near. I told her everything would be okay, But she had questions I couldn’t explain. Where had I been? Why did I look this way? What the hell had happened to me that day? [Spoken Word — Female Vocal, Haunting and Raspy] I told her everything that had happened to me and why she couldn’t get in touch with me. She listened, trying to make sense of it all. Then I asked her what happened to her. She told me she’d been bitten by a werewolf after Mariana’s punk rock concert. One thought immediately came to mind. Lavinia? I thought that was just a fucking song! [Chorus] What are the odds? How is this possible? Two twin sisters become supernatural monsters. There’s gotta be some irony in all of this, Like some twisted destiny we cannot dismiss. [Verse 3] Daylight had arrived, and I had to hide, Alicia went to get her car outside. She brought it back and helped me into the trunk, Then drove us home while I slept through the sun. When darkness fell, the moon had yet to rise, We had some time before the wolf returned tonight. She broke down crying, afraid of what she’d become, Wondering if her normal life was finally done. How could she tell Dad? What would he say? How could she practice law if she changed every night? What if she hurt someone and couldn’t stop? What if she lost everything she’d fought for? I kept the truth about my ex to myself, And the others involved in this living hell. I told her we’d figure it out somehow, Maybe it was time to talk to Dad now. We decided to continue the conversation at her apartment. [Outro — Emotional Female Vocal, Raspy but Softer] I tried to calm her, told her Dad would understand, That he’d still love us and lend a helping hand. We’re his daughters, no matter what we’ve become, Unlike our mother, who never seemed to care. Even if his children are monsters, Even if we’re creatures of the night, A father’s love doesn’t simply disappear, He’ll still love us and hold us near. No matter what we are, No matter what we’ve become, We’re still his little girls, And we’ll always be his daughters. [Spoken Word — Female Vocal, Low, Haunting, Ominous] “And just before we could make that phone call to Dad… I felt something. A presence I knew all too well. Oh, you’ve gotta be fucking kidding me… That bastard survived the cabin.” [Low violin, closing the song]
