I almost turned around back there same road same sky just a different weight inside the air something in me slowed the moment down not stopping not fear just listening before the ground there’s a line I cannot measure but I feel it taking hold something small and steady moving through the cold I don’t wait until I’m ready I don’t wait until I know there’s a quiet kind of movement that is strong enough to go every step is slightly unfamiliar same turns same ground still I move them differently now every breath resets the balance point not certain still here and that is more than enough there’s a rhythm in the distance and it’s drawing me ahead not louder than the questions just steadier instead I don’t need a perfect answer I don’t need a clearer sign there’s a quiet traction underneath me keeping me in line not fearless not finished just choosing one direction and staying with it long enough something in me keeps unfolding every time I move this way and the ground begins to answer when I choose to stay
