Dogs Barkin' at Firecrackers

[Verse] Dogs barkin' at firecrackers on New Year's night, Stars in the sky, oh what a sight, Neighbors got their sparklers, lighting up the dark, Old Hound's howlin', ain't stayin' in the yard. [Verse 2] Uncle Joe's on the porch, sippin' on some shine, Grandma’s in the kitchen, bakin' 'fore it's time, Kids runnin' barefoot, chasin' firefly light, Well, it's a country New Year's, everything feels right. [Chorus] Dogs barkin’ loud, fireworks in the air, Everyone's gathered, showin' that they care, Firecrackers poppin', a colorful delight, It ain't always fun, but it’s New Year's night. [Verse 3] Chilly wind blowin', gives a shiverin' thrill, Folks by the bonfire, up on the hill, Guitars strummin' soft, whiskey in the jar, Out here in the sticks, we're never too far. [Chorus] Dogs barkin’ loud, fireworks in the air, Everyone's gathered, showin' that they care, Firecrackers poppin', a colorful delight, It ain't always fun, but it’s New Year's night. [Bridge] Tomorrow we'll clean up all this mess we made, But tonight we're together, in this grand parade, Memories last in these moonlit beams, With dogs a-barkin', and firecrackers' dreams.
