[Verse 1] Open the curtain wide Here comes the wild old gang One black ear in the wind One grin and one big bang You trip, they make a joke You chase, they switch the lane Every bad day gets a pie Right in the face again [Pre-Chorus] Aaaah, here they come Fast as a falling star Aaaah, laugh it off They know exactly who they are [Chorus] Saturday toon parade Saturday toon parade You make the whole world play Saturday toon parade Mischief in your step Magic in your name Saturday toon parade We sing it just the same [Verse 2] One says “watch this” and runs One says “I’m not scared” One slips on his own plan Still lands right on your chair The moon gets a paintbrush smile The road turns upside down Even the loudest fool Wears a crown in this town [Pre-Chorus] Aaaah, here they come Sharp as a trumpet cry Aaaah, throw your hands up That old cartoon sky [Chorus] Saturday toon parade Saturday toon parade You make the whole world play Saturday toon parade Mischief in your step Magic in your name Saturday toon parade We sing it just the same [Bridge] Oh, when the punchline flies And the chase won’t quit You taught us how to fall Then jump right back in it With a wink and a spark You turn the mess to fame Old cartoon hearts still race At the call of your game [Chorus] Saturday toon parade Saturday toon parade You make the whole world play Saturday toon parade Mischief in your step Magic in your name Saturday toon parade We sing it just the same [Outro] Bam-bam, ta-da, hooray The joke will never fade Saturday toon parade Saturday toon parade
