(PRE-BÖTZINGER: DBR + AT INTERWEAVES — THE SEQUEL) OPENING – “WHY IS EVERYONE YAWNING?” Why is everyone yawning? No, really, why? Did someone open a window Or lower the sky? Is this boring? Is this tired? No, this room is getting wired. Sleepy? No! Disengaged? No! Then what’s happening right now? The system’s letting go. VERSE 1 – “THE PRE-BÖTZINGER RESET” There’s a rhythm down low where the breath gets made, Not in the lungs, not in thoughts you say. When CO₂ climbs and the grip unwinds, That rhythm says, “We’ve got time.” Yawns aren’t tired, They’re global cues Network-wide recalibration blues. Alveoli open, variability swings, The metronome stretches its wings. This isn’t boredom. This is repair. CHORUS – “DON’T INTERRUPT THE SIGH” Don’t interrupt the sigh, Don’t rush it through, That’s the deep brain Finding something new. Not coached, not forced, Not counted or tried That’s the breath coming home From where it had to hide. VERSE 2 – “AIR HUNGER WITHOUT PANIC” Sometimes it feels like “I can’t get enough,” But there’s no fear, No edge, no bluff. That’s not anxiety, That’s chemistry CO₂ tolerance renegotiating quietly. Shock let go, The chest has room, But the rhythm’s re-calibrating the boom. Air hunger doesn’t mean danger is near It means the system’s waking And the coast is clear. AT INTERWEAVE BREAK – “ROOM TO MOVE” Head free. Neck not holding the story. Back widening, No rush, no glory. Ribs don’t need orders, Diaphragm doesn’t need blame When the bracing softens, Breath remembers its name. We didn’t do anything. We stopped interfering. -CHORUS (REPRISE) – “DON’T INTERRUPT THE SIGH” Don’t interrupt the sigh, Let it ring, let it roll, That’s the pre-Bötzinger Re-tuning the whole. Like a bowl struck once In a quiet room It finds the walls And teaches them how to bloom. BRIDGE – “DISSOCIATION’S EXIT SIGN” When breath was mechanical, Someone was gone. Still alive, But the lights weren’t on. Yawns bring volume, Sighs bring depth, Presence slips back On the back of a breath. No command. No demand. Just space. FINAL NUMBER – “STILL BREATHING, STILL HERE” Still breathing, still here, Still held by the rhythm below. Shock finished talking, The body said, “Okay… let’s go.” From freeze into flow, From thin into wide, That sigh wasn’t random It was timing, not tried. OUTRO – “LET IT RING If a yawn comes, Let it come. If a sigh comes, Let it hum. The deep brain knows What it’s doing.
