What I Love About the Habs

What I love about the Habs right now is that no one is trying to steal the spotlight at the expense of the other players. A family spirit is taking shape, and every player knows that if he puts in the effort, he will earn ice time and the trust of his coach. That’s why goals are coming from everywhere, from players who seem to emerge at every turn. The talented ones as well as the rookies know that taking part and helping the group produces magical results: what we call synergy. By encouraging synergy, the coach is turning the Canadiens into a breeding ground for talent, in an atmosphere of solidarity and collegiality. Little by little, the guys wake up and realize that efficiency is not a matter of style, but a matter of seizing every opportunity and turning it into success. It is far more effective to score quietly, almost unnoticed, than to be expected by the opponent in a flashy, forceful style. The Canadiens are in the process of building an instinctive body, a synergistic machine where every small effort counts. There are no small players when teamwork makes every gesture possible. Two coaches have understood this and are working together behind the scenes: the one from the farm team, the Laval Rocket, and our valiant St-Louis. Long live our coaches. Go Habs Go. The creators of synergy are in demand when realism and humility go hand in hand.
