Title: שֶׁקֶר וְאֱמֶת (Truth and Lies)

Verse 1 (Hebrew):
מִי שֶׁרוֹצֶה לְדַבֵּק עַצְמוֹ בַּשֵּׁם יִתְבָּרַךְ,
עַד שֶׁיֵּלֵךְ מִמַּחֲשָׁבָה לְהֵיכָל אַחֵר,
וְיִרְאֶה הֵיכָלוֹת בְּעֵינֵי הַשֵּׂכֶל,
יִשָּׁמֵר מִלּוֹמַר שֶׁקֶר גַּם בְּטָעוּת.
הַמִּלָּה הַנֶּאֱמֶנֶת תּוֹרָה הִיא,
כְּמוֹ אֹרַח מַרְגִּיעַ לִבּוֹ.
רַק בַּדֶּרֶךְ הַזּוֹ תִּפְעַל הַמַּחֲשָׁבָה,
וְשַׁעֲרֵי עוֹלָם יִפָּתְחוּ לְפָנֶיהָ.

Chorus (English):
If you want to seek the truth,
Keep your words from lies or doubt.
Even in the smallest slip,
Let honesty lead you out.
For when you speak what’s true and clear,
You’ll open gates that none can tear.

Verse 2 (Hebrew):
מֻתָּר לְשַׁנּוֹת לְשָׁלוֹם בְּנַפְשׁוֹת,
כִּי הַשָּׁלוֹם הוּא קִיּוּם הָאוֹרוֹת.
גַּם כְּשֶׁמַּטְעֶה הָאֱמֶת לִשְׁמֹר דְּבָרָיו,
בַּעֲבוּר שְׁלוֹם נַפְשׁוֹת יַרְצֶה הַכֹּל.
כִּי לִפְנֵי הָאוֹר נִבְטָחָה הַנְּשָׁמָה,
אִם רַק שָׁלוֹם נִכְנָס אֵלֶיהָ.

Chorus (English):
Peace will bend the truth at times,
To hold the light that leads our way.
Yet even when the truth must sway,
Let it still guide and light the day.
For peace brings comfort to the soul,
And in its wake, we find our goal.

Verse 3 (Hebrew):
כַּת שַׁקָּרִים לֹא תִזְכֶּה לִקְרַב אֶל הַשְּׁכִינָה,
כִּי הַשֶּׁקֶר מְסַמֵּא אֶת הָרוּחַ וּמְנַעֵר הָאוֹר.
רַק אֲנָשִׁים בֶּאֱמֶת יִרְאוּ פָּנִים,
וּבְמִלָּה נְכֹחָה תִּהְיֶה לָהֶם תּוֹכְנָה.
כָּל שֶׁקֶר נוֹפֵל מִן הָרוּחַ,
כְּשֶׁהָאֱמֶת הִיא שְׁכִינָה שֶׁל נֶפֶשׁ.

Those who lie can never stand
In the light of Shechinah’s land.
But truth will guide the faithful heart,
And bring them close, where lies depart.
For when the soul speaks truth and right,
It finds a place in holy light.

צַדִּיק מֻתָּר לוֹ לְהִתְנַהֵג בְּעָרְמָה,
אִם הוּא נוֹכַח כְּנֶגֶד הָרָמַאי.
בַּעֲבוּר לְשָׁמֵר אֶת הָאֱמֶת,
יִרְאֶה אֶת הַתַּחְבּוּלָה כְּתִקּוּן לִדְבָרָיו.
כִּי הַצַּדִּיק רוֹאֶה אֶת הָרוּחַ,
אֲפִלּוּ בַּשֶּׁקֶר, יִשְׁקֹף אֶת הָאוֹר.

Chorus (English):
The righteous man may bend the truth,
When facing lies and trickery.
Yet still, his heart will hold the light,
And keep the path that’s just to see.
For in the end, the truth will shine,
Even in deceitful times.
